By booking with Cadillac Dreams, you (the “Hirer”) agree to the following terms and conditions. These conditions are designed to ensure the safety of our vintage vehicles and to provide a seamless experience for your special event.
1. Bookings and Payments
Deposit: A non-refundable deposit is required to secure your booking. This deposit confirms your date and ensures the vehicle is not booked by another party.
Final Payment: The remaining balance must be paid in full no later than four (4) weeks prior to the event date. Failure to settle the balance by this time may result in the cancellation of your booking and forfeiture of the deposit.
Minimum Hire: All wedding bookings are subject to a minimum hire period (typically 3 hours), unless otherwise agreed upon in writing.
Overtime: If the hire exceeds the agreed-upon time, additional charges will apply. These are calculated in 15-minute increments and must be settled either on the day (in cash) or within 24 hours of the event.
2. Cancellations and Postponements
Cancellations: All cancellations must be made in writing. Deposits are strictly non-refundable.
Cancellations made within 3 months of the event date will incur a fee of 50% of the total booking cost.
Cancellations made within 1 month of the event date will be charged the full booking amount.
Postponements: We offer flexibility for date changes subject to availability. If Cadillac Dreams is available for your new date, your deposit may be transferred. If we are unavailable for the new date, the cancellation policy applies.
3. Vehicle Care and Safety
Vehicle Limitations: Our Cadillacs are classic/vintage vehicles. They may not have modern features such as air conditioning or modern seatbelts in all positions (unless specified).
Passenger Conduct: The Hirer is responsible for the conduct of all passengers. We reserve the right to refuse entry to any person who is heavily intoxicated, under the influence of illegal substances, or behaving in an abusive manner.
No Smoking: Smoking or vaping is strictly prohibited inside or within 5 meters of the vehicle.
Restrictions: To protect our vintage fleet, vehicles will not be driven on unsealed roads, including dirt, gravel, or sand, without prior written approval.
Cleaning Fee: If the vehicle is returned in an excessively dirty condition or requires professional cleaning due to spills, stains, or bodily fluids, a cleaning fee ranging from $100 to $500 will be charged to the Hirer.
4. Damages and Liability
Hirer Liability: The Hirer is financially responsible for any damage caused to the vehicle (internal or external) by themselves, the bridal party, or their guests. This includes damage caused by clothing (e.g., sequins or zippers), floral arrangements, or equipment.
Third-Party Damage: Damage caused by third parties hired by you (such as photographers or videographers) is the responsibility of the Hirer.
Personal Property: Cadillac Dreams takes no responsibility for personal items left in the vehicle during or after the hire period.
5. Mechanical Failure and Substitutions
Mechanical Integrity: While we maintain our fleet to the highest standards, vintage vehicles can occasionally experience mechanical issues.
Substitutions: In the rare event of a mechanical breakdown or accident prior to your event, we will make every effort to provide a similar vintage vehicle. If no suitable replacement can be found, our liability is limited to a full refund of the monies paid for that specific vehicle.
Breakdowns in Transit: If a breakdown occurs during the hire, we will attempt to arrange alternative transport (e.g., a modern luxury vehicle or rideshare) to ensure you reach your destination.
6. Child Restraints
Age Restrictions: Due to Victorian Road Safety Regulations, we cannot carry children under the age of 7 unless the vehicle is fitted with appropriate anchor points and the Hirer provides a compliant child restraint. Please discuss any requirements for children under 7 at the time of booking.
7. Marketing and Media
Photos/Videos: Unless otherwise requested in writing, Cadillac Dreams reserves the right to take photographs or video of the vehicle at your event for use on our website and social media platforms.
8. Force Majeure
Cadillac Dreams shall not be liable for any failure or delay in performing our obligations where such failure or delay results from any cause that is beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to: acts of God, extreme weather, government mandates, or civil unrest.
By paying your deposit, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms and Conditions.
